Mai Tai

Mai Tai’s are the legendary Tiki Drink and none more so than the originators recipe from Trader Vic himself. Of course the rums used in 1944 are not longer available but a mix of Rhum Agricole and Jamaican Rum does the trick. I had a few comments on instagram about slapping the mint leaves round the rim of the glass, but it really opens up the sent and freshens up the drink. Served here in a mug from the Derek Yaniger Marvellous Mai Tai Machine.

Recipe

1 oz Jamaican Rum

1 oz Rhum Agricole

0.75 oz Lime Juice

0.5 oz Curacao

0.25 oz Orgeat

0.25 oz Syrup

Mint Sprig

Lime Shell
